BARNES ON A HIGH AFTER ANOTHER AWARD WIN
Glasswells new home furnishings store in Ipswich is looking to appoint five more staff members to meet growing demand. The Ranelagh Road showroom is going from strength to strength, says general manager, Andrea Johnston.
She said, "We're looking to appoint four new members of staff on the shop floor. One full-time furniture salesperson and one part-time, then sales advisers for our gift department and our carpet team. At the same time we've a vacancy in our "Place to Eat" restaurant for a kitchen assistant, again as a result of growing demand."
"Glasswells is all about customer service," Ms Johnston explained. "So it's important that we have a team of trained and knowledgeable staff available at all times in the store to talk to customers. We want our customers to take their time, to consider their purchase and take advice if they need it."
"Of course, we're delighted that in such recessionary times that we're doing so well, and that the people of east Suffolk have taken Glasswells so much to their hearts," she said. "It says a lot about the resilience of this area and we believe that we have a great future in the Ipswich."
Glasswells opened its 73,000 sq. ft. showroom in Ipswich in December, adding to existing showrooms in Bury St Edmunds, Martlesham Heath, Haverhill and Saffron Walden.
On display at the Glasswells Park showroom in Ipswich are wide choices of bedroom, lounge and dining furniture, hand-picked to suit all tastes and design preferences, as well as beautiful linens, carpets, curtaining, kitchenware, gifts, lighting and much more.
