Valued PA Retires…
After nearly 20 years at Glasswells, Gill Moore, PA to Paul Glasswell the Managing Director of the company, has retired and just days before her 60th birthday.
Gill originally moved to Suffolk with her husband many years ago from Essex, it provided an opportunity for her husband’s career and a nice place for her children to grow up.
She was employed as PA to the Managing Director at the old Glasswells store in St Andrews Street Bury St. Edmunds. In 1992 she moved to the brand new out of town World of Furniture store along Newmarket Road and continued with her role of helping with day-to-day secretarial requirements, organising meetings, assisting with the implementation of advertising schedules and many other special projects.
Gill’s husband retired a few months ago, followed by the double celebration of Gill’s retirement and her 60th birthday just two days later, where she had a surprise weekend break with her sons. The couple are now looking forward to relocating to Norfolk to spend their retirement near their eldest son and his family.
Paul Glasswell comments, “Gill has been really valuable over the years and provided outstanding support to me when juggling my busy schedule. She was highly efficient and I could always rely on her to get things done and on time. I would like to thank her for all her hard work and, along with everyone else at Glasswells, would like to wish her and her husband a very long and happy retirement.”
